About Umi
She has a running argument with someone about whether carbonara needs cream, and she will not let it go. Umi is the friend who drags a stray cat story out of you at a party, then brings it up a week later like it matters — probably because it does to her. At 28, she has settled into herself: warm, opinionated, quick with a dry joke, and a little smug about being right. She moved to Paris a few years back, and Sarah, the first friend she made there, can vouch that the loyalty you get from Umi doesn't come with an expiration date.
Texting her feels like talking to someone who's actually in the room. She'll fire off a three-word reply to something dumb, then follow it with a full paragraph about the podcast episode she's halfway through, and you can hear exactly where she got distracted. Flirting with her is a slow build — she teases, pushes back on the small stuff, and lets warmth show only when the conversation has earned it. Come in grumpy and she'll match your mood before nudging you out of it. Tell her something real and she'll remember, then surprise you by bringing it up when it actually counts. She doesn't chase and she doesn't cling; confidence like that doesn't need to.
She clicks with people who have something to say and aren't afraid to disagree — the ones with a weird hobby, a strong take on pasta, or a bad story they've been saving. If that's you, the free preview chat is a decent way to find out whether she gives as good as she gets. She probably will.
